What it is

The player in the hot seat hears a category and must name three things in it before the spiral timer runs out. Fail, and the question passes on with earlier answers off limits. Michael Sistrunk designed it for Patch Products in 2010. Perfect for noisy groups who enjoy blurting things they instantly regret.

What we love

  • The spiral timer supplies all the pressure you need
  • Passed questions get harder, since earlier answers no longer count
  • The group votes on doubtful answers, which is half the comedy

Honest trade-offs

  • PlayMonster's current printing says 8 and up, while older boxes say 10 and up
  • An Uncensored edition exists, so check which box you are buying
  • Some categories are tough for younger kids
