7 Wonders Duel
Two rival cities, one layout of overlapping cards, and three ways to win.
What it is
A sharp two-player game for anyone who wants a whole civilization in half an hour. Over three Ages you take cards from an overlapping layout, and each card you take may expose a better one for your opponent. Push the conflict pawn into the enemy capital or gather six different science symbols and the game ends on the spot. If neither happens, points settle it after Age III.
What we love
- Three routes to victory: military, science or points
- Every card you take can open a better one for your rival
- Cards can be built, sold for coins or used to raise a Wonder
Honest trade-offs
- Built for exactly two, so it will not stretch to a third friend
- The card symbols take some learning before a first game flows
- A sudden military or science win can end things before the points ever matter
