· OUR TAKE ·

What it is

An alternate-1930s race to build hydroelectric infrastructure in the Alps. Water flows downhill, and your dam might feed your opponent's turbines, which is a design cruelty we respect. Pure strategy, almost no luck, and every turn is a knife fight.

What we love

  • We think no other game handles water routing this well
  • Low luck, high interaction, high skill ceiling
  • Scales from solo to four without losing its edge

Honest trade-offs

  • First-game learners get trapped by water flow they did not plan for
  • First print run shipped with soft concrete markers; later runs fixed it
  • Two-player is competent but the design wants three or four
