Cockroach Poker
No chips and no poker hands, just a bluffing game about handing a stink bug to a friend.
What it is
A silly bluffing game for up to 6, perfect for anyone who likes a dare without stakes. You slide a card face down to another player and name a critter, true or not, and they must call your claim or pass it on with a new one. Whoever guesses wrong keeps the card face up in front of them. The first player with four of the same critter loses, and everyone else wins.
What we love
- Eight critters, from cockroaches to scorpions
- One loser, and everyone else wins
- Nothing to gamble: the poker in the name is only about bluffing
Honest trade-offs
- Very little strategy beyond reading faces
- Picking on the weakest bluffer is part of the game
- Bugs, rats and toads on the cards may put off the squeamish
AI summary of player sentiment
