Earthborne Rangers
A card campaign in a wild valley, where a good ranger befriends as much as they overcome.
What it is
A co-op card campaign for one to four players who would rather explore than fight. You build a ranger from a background, a specialty and a personality, then travel a valley map, take on missions and read story entries from a campaign guide. Your deck doubles as your stamina, so pushing too hard wears you out. We think it suits patient players who want a long story and do not mind some homework.
What we love
- Background, specialty and personality give each deck its own identity
- Paper and cardboard only, with no plastic in the box
- A true one-character solo mode
Honest trade-offs
- Long rules and a weak prologue make for a slow start
- Setup, upkeep and teardown are heavy, especially solo
- Co-op can drag while players wait for their turns
AI summary of player sentiment
