Flip 7: With a Vengeance
The same bust-or-bank card game, only now your friends are coming for your points.
What it is
A meaner sequel for a big group that enjoys ruining each other's rounds with a straight face. You still flip cards and bust on a repeated number, but modifiers now shrink an opponent's score, and cards like Swap, Steal and Flip Four can land on you even after you stop. Second Chance is gone, and a Brutal mode lets scores drop below zero. We think it suits groups who have worn out Flip 7 and want more chaos.
What we love
- Listed for up to 28 players, though the rules suggest a second deck past 18
- Staying put no longer keeps you safe
- In Brutal mode, a Flip 7 can dock a rival 15 points instead of paying you
Honest trade-offs
- Chaotic enough to frustrate newer players
- Thinner, smaller cards than the original
- The rulebook is short on clarity, and most families are better off with the first game
