Galactic Cruise
Build cruise ships, book the tourists and launch before your rivals do.
What it is
A big euro for one to four players who enjoy planning a long job and watching it pay off. You run a space cruise line, building ships, booking Families, Adventurists and Leisure passengers, and sending them along set itineraries. Workers on the shared board can be bumped, and the end of the game speeds up as ships launch and goals fall. Ian O'Toole's art and chunky components make it a handsome pick for fans of heavier games.
What we love
- Complex without punishing an imperfect plan
- An employee-handbook player aid helps newcomers along
- Random setup and goals, plus a solo rival called Rachel
Honest trade-offs
- Setup is long, especially the first time
- Plenty of iconography to learn before it flows
- Starts slowly, then rushes hard in the back half
AI summary of player sentiment
