JinxO
Write what your friends would write, then shout Jinx when exactly one of them did.
What it is
A word-matching party game for four to seven people who think they know each other. Each round you fill a three-by-three grid with answers to topic cards, then read them out hoping someone wrote the same thing. Match exactly one other player and you can both shout Jinx for a star worth 2 extra points. It won the 2026 Spiel des Jahres under its German name, Dito!, and we think it suits mixed groups who like finding out what they have in common.
What we love
- You score by guessing how others think, not by knowing trivia
- Exactly one match earns a shouted Jinx and a 2-point star on top of the match
- Bonus points for a full row or column add a small tactical layer
Honest trade-offs
- It is light by design and will not feed anyone after strategy
- The original rulebook says 4 to 7 players while the German Dito! lists 3 to 7, so check your box
