What it is

A fun game for 1 to 4 people, perfect for anyone who liked London and wants a harder map. A green loop line is already printed on the sheet, and stations on it you fail to connect cost you points. Interchanges now need three lines to score, and outer districts pay extra. We think London is the better first buy, and Tokyo the better second.

What we love

  • The printed loop counts toward your multi-line bonuses.
  • Wild cards let you run a line alongside another.
  • Interchange and outer-district bonuses pull your plans in different directions.

Honest trade-offs

  • It is more demanding than London, and its bonuses are hard to combine.
  • The card you need may not turn up when you need it.
  • Interaction stays low, and early high-scoring links can block later growth.
