Scout
A card game where you may never sort your hand, and must make do with the order you got.
What it is
A fun game for 2 to 5 people, perfect for anyone who likes a clever card game in a small box. Each card has two numbers, and you can flip your whole hand before a round, but you can never reorder it. On your turn you beat the show on the table or scout a card from it into your hand. It was nominated for the Spiel des Jahres in 2022.
What we love
- The fixed hand order turns every round into a small puzzle.
- Scouting pays the player you took from, so help comes at a price.
- Once a round you can scout and put on a show in the same action.
Honest trade-offs
- It is much better at three to five players than at two.
- The circus theme is barely there.
