Skull
Four discs, one skull, and a bidding war over how many you dare to flip.
What it is
A pure bluffing game for 3 to 6, perfect for people who enjoy a straight face more than a long rulebook. Everyone holds three flowers and one skull, and places discs face down until someone bids how many they can flip without hitting a skull. The winning bidder must flip their own discs first, which makes your own skull a fine bit of bait. Win two rounds, or be the last one left, and you take the game.
What we love
- Rules short enough to explain in a minute or two
- Every bid is a read on the other players
- Hit a skull and its owner takes one of your discs at random
Honest trade-offs
- Not playable with two
- Players can be eliminated and left watching
- The skull art is the darkest thing in the box, but it may need a word with younger kids
