Sky Team
Two pilots, one airliner, and not a word allowed once the dice are rolled.
What it is
A game for exactly two people who want to land an airliner together without saying a word. You each roll dice in secret, then take turns placing them on a shared cockpit panel to manage speed, tilt, flaps, landing gear and the radio. A placed die is the only message your partner gets, so each one carries a little meaning. It won the 2024 Spiel des Jahres, and we think it suits any pair who enjoy a close call.
What we love
- Silence turns every die into a small conversation
- Games run 15 to 20 minutes, so a crash is one quick reset away
- Eleven airports and 21 scenarios bring wind, ice and traffic
Honest trade-offs
- Two players only, so it stays home on a big game night
- The opening scenario gets easy after a few landings
- The hardest scenarios lean on dice luck and can feel unwinnable
