The Fellowship of the Ring: Trick-Taking Game
Eighteen chapters of Tolkien, told through cooperative tricks.
What it is
A co-op card game for one to four players who want The Fellowship of the Ring told in small, tricky steps. You each pick a character from the book with a personal goal, and the team only clears a chapter if every goal is met. You cannot discuss your hands, and the One Ring card lets Frodo take a trick outright. Eighteen chapters add new rules as you go, so we think it suits anyone who liked The Crew but wanted a story along with it.
What we love
- Book-only characters like Tom Bombadil and Glorfindel turn up
- Each chapter brings new goals and twists
- Stained-glass card art and a foil finish
Honest trade-offs
- Very close to The Crew in design, so it will feel familiar
- Early chapters are easy and short on variety
AI summary of player sentiment
Across the tables we polled, players consistently praise the game's approachability and pacing. The most common complaint is very close to the crew in design, so it will feel familiar.
