· OUR TAKE ·

What it is

A small puzzle for anyone who likes filling a grid. Each round one player names a resource, and everyone must place that cube in their own 4x4 town. When your cubes match a shape on a building card, you swap them for that building. Empty squares cost a point each at the end, so space runs out fast.

What we love

  • Everyone acts every round, so there is little waiting
  • A different mix of buildings each game changes the puzzle
  • Plays up to six, with a solo mode as well

Honest trade-offs

  • Players can spend ages picking the cube that hurts others most, which slows things down
  • One badly placed building is hard to recover from
  • Scoring changes with each building mix and is the fiddly part
