First time only: free the parts
If this is a brand new game, an adult should carefully snap the 2 legs and the slider bar off their plastic frame. If any rough plastic is left on them, smooth it with an emery board or sandpaper. You only do this the first time, so skip it if your parts are already free.
Your goal
Be the first player to get 4 discs of your color in an unbroken straight line: across, up and down, or on a diagonal. The game ends the moment that happens, and that player wins. There are no points or scores to keep in this version. If the grid fills with no line of 4, the usual ruling is a draw.
